French Desserts: Pear and Apple SautéIngredients 2 Tbsps. unsalted butter 2 green apples, sliced 4 medium pears, sliced 1/2 tsp. ground allspice 1/2 tsp. lemon zest 1/8 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper Instructions In a heavy skillet, sauté apples in melted butter 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add pears and sauté another 2 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and sauté until tender. Serve hot or cooled, with vanilla, pistachio nut, or chocolate-mint ice cream.
